FAQs: Spring 2026 League Play
Who is eligible to join a Meadow Park League team?
Players in grades 3-5 enrolled in a Meadow Park training package with at least two sessions per week are eligible to join league teams. This ensures all team players receive consistent coaching and preparation. Players with single weekly sessions and drop-in sessions are not eligible for team placement.
If players join a Meadow Park League team, do they have to go to high school at Riverside?
No, players still attend their neighborhood high school. Students who are interested in attending Riverside in the future are welcome to explore that option.
Will Meadow Park League teams play in local or regional tournaments?
Meadow Park League teams will be playing games at Riverside High School against other local teams. We will invite teams with similar age groups and skill levels and organize the games to take place at Riverside on Saturday afternoons starting April 25th.
However, depending on a team’s skill level and interest, some league teams may choose to participate in outside tournaments on select weekends. Whether a team enters a tournament is determined by the coach following a discussion with players and families. If a team opts into a tournament, an additional tournament fee will be required at that time. Please note that Meadow Park League teams are not required to play tournaments; these are scheduled on a case-by-case basis.
What does Meadow Park offer for players in middle school or high school?
Players in middle and high school are invited to join our spring training program for their age groups.
For middle and high school players enrolled in Meadow Park Spring Training packages who are looking to apply their skills in real game settings, we also provide the option to join Meadow Park teams for tournament play. Interested players and families can find more information here.
What is the difference between “Spring Training + League Play” and “Spring Training + Tournament Play”?
Spring Training + League Play is built for grade school players and emphasizes structured development and local league games in a lower-pressure, development-first environment.
Spring Training + Tournament Play is designed for middle and high school players who want a more competitive, game-focused experience through select weekend tournaments.
Both options prioritize high-quality training, but differ in competition level, format, and age focus. Both are designed to support multi-sport athletes by offering flexible scheduling, allowing players to continue developing their basketball skills while also participating in spring sports.
Can my child participate in trainings every day?
Absolutely! Families can register for both the M/W and T/Th packages to attend trainings Monday through Thursday and maximize skill development.

Is insurance required or provided?
We recommend that each participant has personal health insurance. Our program carries liability coverage but does not provide individual medical insurance.
Do I need to sign the liability waiver for each program registration?
Yes. A new liability waiver must be completed for each program and participant to ensure that every session is properly documented and that all participants are covered under our safety and liability policies. You can find it here: online waiver
I’m 18 years old. Do I still need a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver?
No. Participants who are 18 years old or older can sign their own waiver. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the waiver on their behalf.
I didn’t complete the liability waiver when I signed up. Where can I find it now to complete?
You can complete the liability waiver online through the Meadow Park Basketball website. Simply scroll to the footer at the bottom of any page, click the Online Waiver link, and follow the instructions to submit it.
What safety measures are in place?
Coaches are trained in first aid and emergency procedures, as well as abuse prevention. We also maintain on-site first aid kits and emergency contact information for every participant.
Can parents observe sessions?
Yes! Parents are welcome to watch from designated viewing areas as long as it doesn’t distract athletes during training.
