FAQs: Spring 2026 Tournament Play

Who is eligible to join a Meadow Park Tournament team?

Players in grades 6-12 enrolled in a Meadow Park training package are eligible to join tournament teams. This ensures all team players receive consistent coaching and preparation. Drop-ins are not eligible for team placement.

Please note that team formation is dependent on sufficient enrollment. If registration numbers do not allow us to form balanced teams, families will be notified and deposits will be fully refunded.

Which tournaments will Meadow Park Tournament teams play in?

Teams will participate in 2-3 outside tournaments. Scheduling will be determined by the coach following a discussion with players and families. Additional team and tournament fees will be calculated and charged once we have determined the total number of players signed up for Meadow Park teams.

Will there be Meadow Park Tournament teams for players in grades 3-5?

Meadow Park will not be organizing tournament teams for 3rd-5th graders. Instead, we are offering the option to join teams for league play. Meadow Park is partnering with Riverside High School to launch a new development league, in which we will organize and support teams and games to develop young players in grades 3-5. Interested players and families can find more information on the Spring League here

What is the difference between Spring Training + League Play and Spring Training + Tournament Play?

Spring Training + League Play is built for grade school players and emphasizes structured development and local league games in a lower-pressure, development-first environment.

Spring Training + Tournament Play is designed for middle and high school players who want a more competitive, game-focused experience through select weekend tournaments.

Both options prioritize high-quality training, but differ in competition level, format, and age focus. Both are designed to support multi-sport athletes by offering flexible scheduling, allowing players to continue developing their basketball skills while also participating in spring sports.

Can my child participate in trainings every day?

Absolutely! Families can register for both the M/W and T/Th packages to attend trainings Monday through Thursday and maximize skill development.

FAQs: General

What age groups or grade levels are eligible to participate?

Each activity is designed for specific grade levels, which are clearly listed in the program details.  We group players based on both age and skill level to ensure each athlete is appropriately challenged and supported.

What skill level is required?

All skill levels are welcome. Some programs are specifically designed for more advanced players; for these programs, we will clearly indicate skill level in the program details. If you’re unsure which program is best for your child, please don’t hesitate to contact us for guidance at info@meadowparkbasketball.com

What if my child misses a session?

We understand conflicts arise. If your child must miss a session, please notify us in advance. While we can’t guarantee make-ups, we will do our best to accommodate.

Are refunds available?

Refunds are available before the program begins. After the first session, fees are non-refundable except in cases of injury or family emergency. Refund requests should be sent to info@meadowparkbasketball.com.

Are there discounts for siblings?

Families with multiple athletes may receive a 10% sibling discount on select program packages (when noted in program descriptions) for up to 2 additional athletes. Discounts do not apply to drop-in sessions.

Is financial assistance available?

We believe basketball should be accessible to all and offer a limited number of scholarships. Please contact us to learn more at info@meadowparkbasketball.com.

What should my child bring?

Athletic clothing, basketball, basketball shoes, water bottle, and a positive attitude.

Is insurance required or provided?

We recommend that each participant has personal health insurance. Our program carries liability coverage but does not provide individual medical insurance.

Do I need to sign the liability waiver for each program registration?

Yes. A new liability waiver must be completed for each program and participant to ensure that every session is properly documented and that all participants are covered under our safety and liability policies. You can find it here: online waiver

I’m 18 years old. Do I still need a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver?

No. Participants who are 18 years old or older can sign their own waiver. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the waiver on their behalf.

I didn’t complete the liability waiver when I signed up. Where can I find it now to complete?

You can complete the liability waiver online through the Meadow Park Basketball website. Simply scroll to the footer at the bottom of any page, click the Online Waiver link, and follow the instructions to submit it.

What safety measures are in place?

Coaches are trained in first aid and emergency procedures, as well as abuse prevention. We also maintain on-site first aid kits and emergency contact information for every participant.

Can parents observe sessions?

Yes! Parents are welcome to watch from designated viewing areas as long as it doesn’t distract athletes during training.
